Robert Morgan was born in either 1867 or 1868 in Brooklyn, New York to James Morgan (c.1827-1908) and Janet Stewart (c.1833-1893). Robert was one of eight children. Between 1892 and 1920 he was employed in a number of occupations, pneumatic tubes, leather salesman, builder, house plasterer, and mason. He married Anna (1878- unknown) in 1907. The couple rented an apartment at 237 Eight Street in Brooklyn. Robert died on March 4, 1924 in a tenement at 234 Eighth in Brooklyn and was interred at Green-Wood Cemetery on March 7, 1924 in the Morgan family plot (grave FLC, lot 28546, section 198).
