Julia was born in Placitas, NM to the late José and Elvira Trujillo.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Montaño on June 3, 2002.
Julia is survived by her loving children, James Montaño and his wife, Julia of Rio Rancho, Arthur Montaño and his wife, Bertha of El Paso, TX, George Montaño and his wife, Rita, Larry Montaño and his wife, Lydia both of Bernalillo, Pat Montaño and his wife, Viola of Albuquerque, Clyde Montaño and his wife, Joyce of Rio Rancho, Christine Montaño of Albuquerque and Liz Abeyta and her husband, Robert of Albuquerque and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Miquela Rodríguez and Josephine Ringling, one brother, José Trujillo and his wife, Barbara, a very close friend of the family, Edna Yoder and other relatives and friends.
Julia will be greatly missed by her loving family.
The family sincerely appreciates the staff of Valle Norte Nursing Center for the years of loving care given to our beloved mother.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Las Placitas Presbyterian Church in Placitas, NM. Evening services will be conducted on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. also at Las Plactias Presbyerian Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at Las Placitas Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jane Harmes officiating. Interment will follow at the San Antonio de Las Huertas Land Grant Cemetery in Placitas, NM. Casket bearers will be Julia's sons, James, Arhtur, George, Larry, Pat and Clyde. Honorary bearers will be her grandsons, Alex, Jaime, Armando, Issac, Gabriel, Matthew, Dominic, Larry Jr., Leonard, Eric, Steven, Adrian and Adric.
