In 1920 she and her parents and sister lived on a farm in Manor Township which they owned, mortgage free. Also living them was a farm helper, 14-year-old Ralph Craig.

In 1930 she and her parents and sister still lived there on the farm. Their home was valued at $4500, and they had a radio.

In 1940 she and her parents lived there. Their home was valued at $9000. She worked as a clerk in a retail store, with an income in 1939 of $612 for 51 weeks of work.

In 1950 she and her husband and a lodger, 32-year-old John M Russell, lived in a house at 114 Rebecca Street in Kittanning, PA. William worked as the proprietor of a men's clothing store and John as an electrical engineer for an electric power company.

Anna Jean Moesta, 94, of Kittanning died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Grey's Colonial Acres.

She was born in Manor Twp., Armstrong Co., PA on February 13, 1918 the daughter of John and Alma (Patton) Foster.

A lifetime resident of the area, Jean was a 1936 graduate of Kittanning Senior High School where she was May Queen the same year. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ where she belonged to the Women's Guild. She was previously employed by Moesta & Son's Clothing Store until her retirement in 1973. She enjoyed her time socializing with the Senior Woman's Club of Kittanning. Jean loved her volunteer work some of which included being a charter member of the ACMH Auxiliary, her longtime presence with the Meals on Wheels program, and membership in the Armstrong Co. Historical Museum Society.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Fred Procious, John Procious, Judy Hazen Kong, Thomas Miller, Murray Thompson, Corrine Attella and Coleen Adamak.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William L. "Bill" Moesta whom she married in May of 1940 and died October 13, 1997; sister, Helen P. Procious; and brother-in-law, Darl Procious.

Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 12 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. John W. Snyder officiating.

Burial will be in the Kittanning Cemetery, Rayburn Twp., Armstrong Co.
