Born to Charles LeRoy and Virginia Smith Milner, Rose married Dave Bybee in 1953 in Havana.

Surviving are three sons, Ray (and Cheryl) Bybee and Bill (and Becky) Bybee, both of East Moline, and Ken (and Ava) Bybee of Silvis; two sisters, Rita Babb of Canton and Wanda Milner of Collinsville; one brother, Eugene Milner of Springfield; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

One brother preceded her in death.

She was a machine operator at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of Illini Hospital Auxiliary and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, both in Silvis.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
