He was born Dec. 3, 1949, in Ralls and lived in the Lorenzo area all his life. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, David Dwayne of Lubbock and Jay Floyd of Lorenzo; his mother, Frances of Lorenzo; three brothers, Joe Bob of Gordonville, Donald of Shallowater and Harold of Abernathy; eight sisters, Tammy Hatley of Lorenzo, Lorie Miller and Carol Miller, both of Lubbock, Judy Crowley and Peggy Sellers, both of Ralls, Shirley Smith of Acuff, Carlene Harvey of Madill, Okla., and Catherine McCallister of Shallowater; and three grandchildren.
