YORK, SC-Mrs. Marcia Metzner Ingram, 64, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Funeral services was Friday, August 16, 2013 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 2370, West Main Street, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Pastor Jeff Lingle officiating. The burial will be Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.

Marcia was born in Sharon, CT and raised in Charlotte. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Bertha Schieferstein Metzner. A member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, she was a former human resource administrator at Frito-Lay, Pelton & Crane and Tesa Tape. She served as a volunteer with Canine Companions for Independence and York County Animal Shelter, as well as her work with Hunger Outreach and Family Promise through the church.

Surviving are her husband, C. Carl Ingram, of the home; her son, Brian Clay Ingram, of Fort Meade, MD; grandson, Joshua Mason Ingram, sister, Marilyn Jones and husband, Wayne, of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Jennifer Jones-Goodwin of Charlotte and Sally Jones of Durham

Marcia was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Nicole Ingram.
