Mr. McCoy was the beloved husband of Ann D. McCoy and was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #6672, Thomson, Ga. Mr. McCoy served as a SSGT in the 82nd Airborne Division during WW II and received the following medals, World War II Victory Medal and an Army Occupation Medal. His grandson, Sgt. Steve McCoy died in June 2008 from complications after being wounded in Iraq while serving in the United States Army. Mr. Roland McCoy died at McDuffie Regional Medical Center at age 78. Staff Sgt.
