Clara B. Beasley Services Are Set
Death came to Mrs. Clara B Beasley, formerly of Johnson County and a resident of North Vernon at her home there Tuesday morning at 5:30 o'clock. She had been in ill
health for three years.
Funeral services have been set for 10 o'clock Friday morning in the North Vernon Baptist Church and burial will take place in the Hopewell Cemetery here.
Friends may call at the Dowd Funeral Home in North Vernon
after 10 o'clock Wednesday morning and are invited to attend
the rites.
The daughter of the late John and Emeline McCaslin McCarty,
she was born in Johnson County on June 15, 1879.
Mrs. Beasley spent her childhood and the early part of her
married life in Johnson County. She became the bride of
Bert Park whose death occurred June 23, 1901, and in 1903
she was married to Dolph Beasley who died March 9, 1946.
Part of her life was spent in Jefferson County and later
moved to Jennings County.
Mrs. Beasley was the mother of 12 children, all of whom are
living. They include John Parks, of the United States Navy, Mrs. Mary Smart of Madison, Mrs. Cloris Mathews, Mrs.Dorothy Fouse of Indianapolis, Mrs. Martha Hollis, Harvey Beasley of Greenfield, Chester Beasley of Marion, Jesse Beasley of Butlerville, Mrs. Rachel Coffman, Mrs Louise
Tandy of Beech Grove, Warren Beasley of Acton, and Mrs. Betty Williams of Carmi, Ill.
Others remaining are 37 grandchildren and 23 great grand-
children.
Mrs. Beasley was a member of the North Vernon Baptist
Church.
