She was raised in the LeGrand community, was drum major for the high school band, participated in the "Central Iowa Eye Openers" and graduated from the LeGrand, Dunbar, and Ferguson High School in 1978. Lori was a homemaker and later moved to northwest Iowa to the LeMars; Plymouth County, Iowa. Remsen; Plymouth County, Iowa and Marcus; Cherokee County, Iowa communities. On Saturday; May 24, 1997, she was united in marriage to David Klingbeil. They made their home in Marcus. Lori enjoyed bands and attending the U of I games with family so she could listen to them.
