She was born on Sept. 7, 1927 to Horace and Imabella (Johnson) Howell in Alanson. She married Henry Joseph Malkowski on Sept. 8, 1990 in Evart.
Mrs. Malkowski worked for Evart Products in Evart, Nartron in Reed City, and Pattersons in Reed City. She was active in the Retired Senior Volunteer Services and the Kitchen Band in Cadillac and LeRoy. She enjoyed crocheting and making flower arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Elaine M. Rockwell of Luther; Charlene Blackledge of Marion; Shari (Paul) Marks of LeRoy; Judith (Willard) Roberts of Cadillac; Norman (Shirley) Malkowski of San Diego; James (Susan) Malkowski of Indianapolis, Ind.; Michael (Terry) Moll of Tustin; and John (Susan) Moll of Ann Arbor; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph on April 19, 2001; and son, Raymond Billett.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. Burial will be in North Park Cemetery in Luther.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
