Charlene was born on November 19, 1962. Charlene was the daughter of the late Charles Wheeler of Luther and of Doris Malkowski of Cadillac. Charlene's children include; Wendy (Billy) DeBruyn of Greenville, Justin Blackledege, whom she has reunited with in heaven, and Dustin Blackledge of Marion. Charlene's Little People (grandchildren) include Tanner Eisenga, Gunner DeBruyn, Robert Blackledge, Matthew Blackledge, and Pilar Blackledge of Greenville. Charlene's siblings include the late Raymond Billett of Luther, Judy Roberts of Three Rivers, Shari (Paul) Marks of LeRoy, and Elaine Rockwell of Luther. Special friends: Brian Niver, Terri Hower, Teresa and Rex Curtis, DaWaine and Sharon McNaughton, Merretta and Donnie Williams, and many other special friends and family.
Charlene loved spending time with her Little People, (grandchildren), Tanner, Gunner, Robert, Matthew, and Pilar. Charlene had a heart for people and used her determination and compassion to help many in her community. Charlene loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed riding her Harley, hunting, playing with her dogs, and gardening.
Visitation, funeral, and luncheon will all be held at the Highland Christian Reform Church at 9034 23 Mile Road, Marion, MI 49665.
Procession to graveside service at Dover Township Cemetery in Bristol will be immediately following the luncheon.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m., and from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 23, 2012, 10 a.m.
Charlene requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Hospice of Michigan or Spectrum Health United Memorial Foundation.
