Beatrice M. Lutsey, 86, of Palmer Township, passed away peacefully to Heaven on Friday, April 24, 2015.
Born Sept. 20, 1928, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late William Hooper and Hattie Miller Hooper Bower. Beatrice was a 1946 graduate of Nescopeck High School.
She and her husband, Elwood J. Lutsey, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18, 2014.
She was a member of Palmer Moravian Community Church, where she was a sacristan, member of the Rebecca Circle and sang in the choir for many years. Beatrice enjoyed visiting shut-ins and delivering Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of the Cedarettes.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a son, Wayne E. Lutsey, and his wife, Carol, of Orwigsburg; two daughters: Sharon Rowe and her husband, Dennis, and Diane Berger and her husband, Paul, all of Wilson Borough; a sister, Marion Traugh, of East Earl; eight grandchildren: David Gary and his wife, Valerie; Melissa Greg and her husband, Christopher; Heather Frantz and her husband, Jared; Eric Lutsey; Nicole Lutsey; Katie Gaston and her husband, Caleb; Keri Berger; and Stacy Rowe; and six great-grandchildren: Averi, Landon, Cole, Blake, Harper and Janessa, and twin boys on the way.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palmer Moravian Community Church, 2901 John St., Easton. Call Wednesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
