Frances Catherine Leighton Henson, 92, of Buena Vista, died Friday, November 20, 2009 in Golden Living Center.
Born February 25, 1917 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late Terry and Laura Whiteside Leighton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Henson.
She was a life-long member of Stone Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two sons, Bo Henson and wife, Helen of Lynchburg and Bob Henson and wife, Joyce of Locust Grove; four grandchildren, Kristin Ohlson, Virginia Joyner, Leslie Wright and Grace Hilyer; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Johnnie Leighton of Buena Vista; one sister, Anna Mae Snook of Manassas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor Russ Barb officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
