Myrtle Booten
Myrtle Mae Booten, 79, of Gulfport, Ill., died at 2:14 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born March 12, 1920, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Dexter and Elizabeth McCandless Leaverton. On March 17, 1936, she married Loren Booten. He died in 1985.
Mrs. Booten was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Booten of Shoquoquon, Ill., and Loren Booten of Burlington; five daughters, Shirley Edwards of Morning Sun, Joanne Schrader of Fort Madison, Frances Lewis of Gladstone, Ill., Lorain Bishop of Boca Raton, Fla., and Laura Cox of Hope Mills, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Dexter Leaverton of Burlington; two sisters, Vera Graham of Mediapolis and Mary Hitchcock of Andalusia, Ill.; nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, infant twin sons and one sister.
There will be no funeral service. The body has been cremated.
A memorial has been established for Henderson County Ambulance Services.
Prugh Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
