Dovie Bowlin
Mt. Carmel -Funeral services for Mrs. Dovie Lee Bowlin, 65, of Route 5, Mt. Carmel, dead on arrival at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday at Holston Valley Community Hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gale Derrick officiating.
A lifelong resident of Hawkins County, she was a member of Cobbs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edward C. (Fay) Christian, Mt. Carmel; three sons, Ronald Bowlin and Ray Bowlin, both of Mt. Carmel and Cliff Bowlin, Kingsport; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Lawson, Church Hill, and Mrs. Rose Bowlin, White Pine, Tenn.; four brothers, Strum Lawson, Mooresburg, and Wilk, Burt and Paul Lawson, all of Rogersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willard H. Bowlin.
Burial will be in Church Hill Memory Gardens.
