Robert Lee Lawson

Robert Lee Lawson was born 25 July, 1878; departed this life 26 November, 1950; age 73 years, 4 months, and 1 day. He professed faith in Christ in his early life, and united with the Cobb's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a member until death.
He served as deacon of his church for many years. He often talked of his hope in Christ and passed away to his eternal reward just as if he was going to sleep.

He was married first to Lillie Murrell, and to this union two daughters were born; his wife and one daughter preceded him in death. He later married Nocie Harris, and to this union were born seven children; four sons and three
daughters- one daughter preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, four sons, Wilk, Bert, Paul, and Sturm, and three daughters, Rosa Bowlin, Lula Lawson, and Dovie Bowlin; twenty grandchildren, one brother, Gale
Lawson; and a great host of friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

The church, relatives and friends have lost a true friend, a kind and loving father, a loyal christian, but Heaven has gained a precious jewel.

Sleep on, dear one, until we all awake in His likeness, and then we will be satisfied.

We think of you in silence,
No eye may see us weep,
But many secret tears are shed,
While others are asleep.
