Jessie Mae Lance Cook, 97, of Asheville, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at St. Joseph's hospital.
She was born in Buncombe County, NC to Russell Pinkney and Hester Case Lance and was wife of C.W. Cook who died in 1983.
She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Gladys Lessard, Lola Cook and Geraldine Cook and one son, Clyde Cook.
She is survived by three daughters, two sons, eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
