Mrs. Belzer Dies; Rites Saturday
Mrs. Jennie Clifton Belzer, 88, formerly of 1153 South Clay street died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Modern Care Nursing Home.
She was born July 26 1881 in Jacksonville, daughter of Richard W. and Ida Louise Dorwart Lambert. On June 20, 1905 she married George E. Belzer who preceded her in death January 31, 1951.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Kinnett of Alexander; two sons, James E. and Clarence F. both of Jacksonville; a brother, Clarence Lambert, and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Clark both of Wichita, Kansas. There are sever grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Fred Lambert and a sister, Ida Beastall.
Mrs. Belzer was a member of Brooklyn United Methodist church and the WSCS of the church, Pythian Sisters and the Rebekah Lodge.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Gillham-Buchanan Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Diamond Grove Cemetery.
