The Revs. S. W. Tullos, G. W. Nix, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe and Jimmy Moore officiated, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe by Darby's Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mrs. Brooks died Sunday at the home of a daughter after a long illness. She was a native of Catahoula Parish and was active in church work.
She had received every award offered for WMU work in the Southern Baptist Convention.
She is the widow of the late Rev. I. J. Brooks, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Monroe for 15 year[s].
Mrs. Brooks is survived by two daughters, Mrs. OrmiLee Mancilles, Monroe, and Mrs. Hazel Womack, Chatham; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Miller, Sulphur, and Mrs. J. T. West, Houston, Tex.; a brother, Ernest Lambert, Jennings, and one grandson, Joe Mancilles, Monroe.
Pallbearers were P. P. Craven, D. R. Brown, J. Dodd Brooks, T. D. Robinson, A. E. Hood and C. C. Moss.
