CLARENCE W. LUEDTKE

Clarence W. Luedtke, 71, of 2914 Coolidge Pl., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, Aug. 4, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Luedtke was born April 9, 1912, in the Town of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County, son of the late Karl and Bertha Schley Luedtke. He grew up and was educated in Maribel and married Viola Havlovitz Dec. 29, 1936, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He had been a Manitowoc resident since 1936. He was a plant mechanic with Manitowoc Wastewater Treatment Plant from 1955 until his retirement in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Viola, a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Earl Grupe of Oak Creek, Wis., two grandchildren, ___(can't read) and John Grupe of Oak Creek, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Seven brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei, Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church from noon Monday until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
