Mrs. Kracke, who died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Falkville Nursing Home, was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Lawrence County to Dempsey Clark Wade and Ida Pauline Glenn Wade. She was employed by the City of Courtland for many years and was also a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of Courtland United Meth�odist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice Stanley Kracke; and one daughter, Barrie Kracke.
Survivors include one son, Brooks Kracke, and his wife, Cindy, of Decatur; two daughters, Virginia Thomason and her husband, Alan, of Montgomery and Carolyn Beyer and her husband, Richard, of Tuscumbia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
