MARTHA NAOMI KIRKPATRICK, CARO, Died Wednesday evening, December 15, 1993, at Tuscola Medical Care Facility, following a brief Illness. She was 87. She was born November 28, 1906 in Ellington Township and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from the Tuscola Normal School in Caro and had taught in several of the area rural schools and then in the Akron Elementary School for several years. She later had been employed at The Dibble's and Federated Stores in Caro for several years. Most recently, she was very active in the Foster Grandparents program. She was married to Harry C (Spike) Kirkpatrick on June 1, 1925 in Sandusky. He preceded her in death November 6, 1957. Surviving are one son, Terry F. Kirkpatrick of Richardson, Texas, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death buy her daughter Roena Lee Starke-Oliver on January 1, 1987 and three brothers. Funeral services were held December 13 at the Huston and Ransford Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Calvin Blue officiating. Burial was in the Acacia Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
