Carol S. Laney, age 59, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:15 A.M. on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio after and extended illness. She was formerly employed by the Ohio Art Company for twenty years and six years for Balser Industries in Bryan. She enjoyed reading, taking nature walks and long drives.
Carol Laney was born on March 30, 1955, in DeKalb County, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd and Lois Burdana (Yose) Karol.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Furrow and Jazlyn (Chris Cassabon) Laney, both of Bryan; one son, Eddie Smith of Bryan, four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Betty Mock, of Ney, Ohio and Rosie Richardson, of Kokomo, Indiana; and one brother, Ricky Steffes, of Williams Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, John Gaa and one brother, Joseph Everetts.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with arrangements.
