In Memory of Angeline Buske
Angeline Buske, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Monday August 28th, 2006 at Kirkwood Manor at the age of 86. She was born July 29, 1920, in Guadalupe County, Texas to Otto and Ida Jentsch. Angeline married Jack W. Buske on February 8, 1941, at the First Protestant Church in New Braunfels. Mrs. Buske was a lifelong member of the First Protestant Church where she served on the Alter Committee, taught Sunday school and volunteered in many capacities.
She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1933. She was a member and served as Treasurer in the Parent Teacher Association. Angeline assisted with Cub Scouts and Girl Scout Troops and was also a lifetime member of Solms Bowling Club and a member of Comal Bowl. She was active in the Aggie Mother's Club and she and her husband were former members in the Starlite Dance Club.
Mrs. Buske was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary-Post #179, The Business and Professional Women's Club, and the Senior Citizens of Comal County where she alsovolunteered. She was a stenographer for 23 years for the State Hunan Services Dept. and retired in 1985.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Buske of 65 years, one daughter, Jacqueline Meyer and husband Greg of New Braunfels, one son Barry N. Buske and wife Laura of New
Braunfels, one grandson B.J. Buske of New Braunfels, one granddaughter Meredith Brant and husband Kyle of New Braunfels, one step-grandson Neal Lucas of New Braunfels, one step-granddaughter Christy Lucas of Evansville, IN, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and her dog Jeeper.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Melitta Mueller and husband Edgar, Elsie Grosgebauer and husband Sidney, and one sister-in-law Stella Buske Roszell.
Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. today, August 30th and will resume on Thursday, August 31st from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home with Reverend Daryl Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at the Comal Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the First Protestant Church or Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.
