Joy Jenkins Ludwig Sorenson, age 81, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in Miami, Fla. Born and raised in Bulloch County where was known as Theodell Jenkins. Ms. Sorenson lived most of her adult life in Miami.
She is survived by a son, Harry L. Ludwig III (Penny) of Kennesaw, Ga.; two granddaughters, Dorielle Ludwig and Diana Ludwig, also of Kennesaw; a daughter, Joyce Ludwig Brodt of New Orleans; brothers, George Jenkins of Brooklet and Thomas Jenkins (Susan) of Statesboro; a sister-in-law, Edith Jenkins of Statesboro; and 14 nephews and nieces.
Ms. Sorenson is the daughter of the late Walter Elmer and Lilla Jenkins of Brooklet and the sister of the late Talmadge Jenkins, also of Brooklet.
The service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Brooklet United Methodist Church, 201 Parker Avenue, Brooklet. Burial will be in the Brooklet City Cemetery immediately following the service.
