Donald 'Don' Marvin Hunteman was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 5, 1933, but the place he called home and was so proud of was Edmond.

Don met the love of his life, Ruby Dell Cameron, at the Wide-Awake Cafe and married her May 7, 1955. The loving relationship brought him 3 children; daughter, Barbara and husband Paul Ketch; son, John Hunteman and fianci Tammy; daughter, Julie and husband Mark Caughey; 6 grandchildren; Stephanie and husband Michael Shaw, Curtis and wife Angie Ketch, Mindy Ketch, Sean Hunteman, Shea Hunteman, Hiedi and husband Kenneth Watson.
Three Honorary grandchildren; Bobby, Jackie and Tony and 6 great-grandchildren; Brittanie Ketch, Zachary Shaw, Chase Ketch, Becca Watson, KJ Watson, Jaydon Watson.
He is also survived by two brothers Bill Hunteman and wife Laquita and Wayne Hunteman and wife Judy. One sister Eileen Duddy and husband Larry. One step sister Mary Ellen Huffman.

Don is preceded in death by his parents W.J. and Ethel Hunteman.

Currently Don worked for Sams Wholesale Club after retiring in the early 1990's from both the United States Postal Services and the Army Reserve, where he served as a Colonel.

Don's love for helping people and teaching people brought to him numerous special relationships. He treasured his friendships and all acquaintances that he made. It is that special quality that lead him to serve in all aspects of his life, serving first, Southern Hills Christian Church as Elder and Charter Member, Habitat for Humanity, on the Board of Christian Church Camp, Secretary of the reunion committee for the 179th Infantry 45th Division, and the Boy Scouts of America.

Funeral services: Southern Hills Christian Church in Edmond on Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Interment is at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, OK.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either Habitat for Humanity, Southern Hills Christian Church or the Christian Church Camp.

Services are under the direction of the Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK. Published in The Oklahoman on 4/17/2006.
