Mr. Paul J. Hunnicutt, 59, died early Saturday at his residence in Statesoro after a brief illness. The native of Bulloch County had lived in Statesboro most of his life and was a retired iron worker. He was a member of the Statesboro First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Polly J. Hunnicutt of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline H. Talcott of Waldorf, Md.; his mother, Mrs. B.J. Hunnicutt of Statesboro; four brothers, Embree Hunnicutt, John R. Hunnicutt, Derrell Hunnicutt, and Ray Hunnicutt, all of Statesboro; five sisters, Mrs. Sue Porter of Savannah, Mrs. Lavone King of Sebring, Fla., Mrs. Betty Powell of Sylvania, Mrs. LaVerne McBride of Statesboro, and Mrs. Helen Russell of Lawrenceville, and two grandsons.
Graveside funeral service and burial for Mr. Hunnicutt will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the East Side Cemetery with the Rev. Carter Berkely officiating.
The Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge of arrangements.
