Mrs. Shirley Bouma, age 76, passed away peacefully as she entered into the loving arms of her Savior, Sunday, May 5, 2013.
Shirley was born in the Netherlands on May 9, 1936 to Alfred and Effie (Yszenga) Huizenga.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years, George Bouma; children, Bruce (Linda) Bouma, Andrew (Lisa) Bouma, Lynn (Don) TerHaar, Kevin (Jodi) Bouma, Cindy (Dellen) VanderWoude, Michael (Tami) Bouma, and Julie (Aaron) Vidro; 31 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Trena Smit, Elaine (Ron) Wagner, and Barbara Bailey; brothers-in-law, Peter Bouma, Andrew (Jane) Bouma and Gerald DeVries; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 AM, at Bethel United Reformed Church, 2025 Baldwin Dr., Jenison, with Rev. Steve Postma officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet her family Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Cook Funeral Home, Jenison Chapel, 1889 Baldwin Dr., Jenison.
