Early Life: Carol was born on March 16, 1939, to Vernon Leroy and Arvilla Marie Boothe Holman in Delta, Utah.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On May 24, 1957, Carol married Larry LaMar Hortin in the Saint George Utah LDS Temple. Carol was a beautician/cosmetologist. She served as a Relief Society, Primary President and Young Women Presidencies. She helped many young men to achieve their Eagle Scout Rank as the Scout Advancement Chairman. She was known for her humor and compassion. She loved to garden and spend time in the outdoors. She found weeding therapeutic. She was a talented seamstress and won awards for her skills. According to her grandchildren she made the best cream of wheat in the world and was a great cook. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carol Holman Hortin passed away on September 14, 2014, in Bountiful Utah.
Survived By: Five children, 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two siblings.
Preceded In Death By: Her loving husband, Larry; and an infant son, Bradley Hortin.
