Graveside services for Rethia Lurine Honeycutt, 81, of Elkhart were at 1 p.m. today in Starr Cemetery with Butch Grant officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Honeycutt passed away Tuesday (Oct. 7, 2008) in the David E. Foster Hospice Unit in Palestine. She was born April 30, 1927, in Grand Saline to Claude and Althia Dickey Barnes. She was a member of First Assembly of God Elkhart and a homemaker. Mrs. Honeycutt was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arvle Douglas Honeycutt; and son, David Honeycutt. She is survived by sons, Doug Honeycutt and wife Norma, Joe A. Honeycutt and wife Dorothy, Jessie Honeycutt and wife Kay and Jimmie Honeycutt and wife Sarah; sister, Billie Fay Starr; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
