Jessie Clayton Honeycutt, a loving and adventurous man, passed away on the 4th day of May 2023, in Elkhart, Texas. At 69 years of age, the Lord called him home. He was born on the 13th day of February 1954 in Anderson County, Texas, to parents Arvel Douglas Honeycutt and Retha Barnes Honeycutt. Jessie was best known for his handy skills and passion for the outdoors.
Jessie was a proud 1972 graduate of Elkhart High School and a devoted member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout his life, Jessie worked as a master carpenter, leaving a lasting impact on the homes and lives of those he worked with. His dedication to his craft and his ability to create beautiful, functional spaces were admired by all who knew him. Jessie's talent and expertise in carpentry were matched only by his love for his family and friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Jessie found great joy in hunting and fishing. He was often found exploring the beautiful landscapes of Texas. Jessie's adventurous spirit also led him to ride horses, a hobby he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, with one on-the-way, and numerous other family members and friends.
