Medical Records Librarian Buried
Funeral services for Margaret Isabel Horner Andrew, 47, of 502 Sunderland Ave., was held this morning at McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Andrew was head of the medical records library at the Calgary Sick Children's Hospital. She died at her home Monday.
A memorial fund to maintain the hospital's records library has been set up. the library will be called The Margaret Andrew Memorial Medical Library.
She was born in Calgary and was a graduate of the Toronto Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto. Following her graduation she worked as a nurse at the hospital and was head nurse when she resigned to come to Calgary in 1946.
She was a general staff nurse at the sick children's hospital in Calgary before being appointed operating room supervisor in 1949. She became head of the medical records department in 1957.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by a son, Robert Horner Andrew, and a sister, Mrs. W. A. Meadows, of Lockport, Ill.
