Annie Carey, a resident of Arlington for the past six years, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, with her beloved daughter by her side. She was 99 years old, a faithful wife, mother, and "Granny" to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Interment: Annie will be buried at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sweetwater Cemetery next to her beloved husband, "Shorty."
Visitation: 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Annie Henington was born March 24, 1909, in Bell County, the daughter of Eli Henington and Lula Mae Ward Henington. She was raised on the farm with her brothers, Oland, Lawrence, Emory, Cleo and Eli, and sisters, Lillian (Sellers), Leta Mae (Smith) and Thelma. She married Jerry Albert Carey and lived the majority of her life in Sweetwater.
Annie was preceded in death by her daughters, Irene Martha Sanders and Bobbie Lou Foust; son-in-law, "Tiny" Boyce Sanders; grandson, Mark Joseph Chenevert; great-grandchildren, Mark David and Macy Chenevert; and all her brothers and sisters.
Survivors: This lovely 99-year-old was survived by her daughter, Willie Dean Chenevert; son-in-law, Ernest Foust; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
