Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Arlington, the Rev. Michael Ciski, T.O.R., celebrant. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. A rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, with visitation to follow.
Willie lived her life as the model Christian woman. She was devoted in her service to God, her husband, Herman, and her seven children. She was always willing to sacrifice anything for the needs of her family. And while there never seemed to be enough hours in her day for all the work, she was never too busy to stop to tend to a child's needs. Willie exhibited and taught her children the importance of high standards regarding personal appearance, assigned tasks and the treatment of others. During early retirement years, she and Herman were blessed to enjoy many couples' activities, including traveling and lots of dancing. Following Herman's death after 53 years of marriage, Willie continued an upbeat busy lifestyle, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, always enjoying special event gatherings and, of course, family reunions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Chenevert Sr.; infant son, Mark Joseph; two grandchildren, Macy Alexis and Mark David Chenevert; and daughter-in-law, Janett Chenevert.
Survivors: Children, Herman Chenevert Jr., Judy and Tim Treadway, Michael and Anna Chenevert, Dennis and Becca Chenevert, Leonard and Helen Chenevert, Steve and Becky Chenevert, and Sheila and Curtis Christensen; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
