Leicester - Marie Hawkins Arrington, 75, died Wednesday, January 2, 2002.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Square D.
Mrs. Arrington was the daughter of the late Wallace Olonso and Annie Elmire Hawkins and was the wife of the late Everette James Arrington who died in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mack Hawkins.
Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Reeves and husband J.B. of Murphy; sons, Mike Arrington and wife Vickie of Richmond, VA, and Bruce Arrington and wife Terri of Saluda; grandchildren, Andy, Micah, Joey, and Nathan Reeves, Jordan Arrington and Lee Arrington; sister, Barbara Sluder and husband Daniel of Leicester; brother, Paul Hawkins and wife Nell of Leicester; a niece and nephews.
Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
