Life's Work/Service/Interests: On February 25, 1950, Connie married Max Jay Spencer in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, and they traveled to Utah to be sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 1, 1950. They made their first home in Salt Lake City, Utah, while Max attended school at the University of Utah. There she became a citizen of the United States. She was very dedicated to her family of one daughter and four sons. She also served very valiantly in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; working in all auxiliaries. She and Max volunteered at the Missionary Training Center in Provo. After Max passed away she served missions to the Colorado Denver Mission and to the Family History Center at Brigham Young University. She was a temple worker at the Provo Utah LDS Temple and the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple for many years; part of the time serving as a supervisor. She worked long and hard doing her own family history work and accomplished much. Connie played the piano and loved to sing, she knew the words to many, many songs and hymns. Grace Constance "Connie" Hartley Spencer passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. She was 85.
Survived By: Her sister, Muriel Lindhorst, of Montreal, Canada; her children: Charleen Jackson (Sherland), of Orem; Michael's wife, Sue Spencer; Christopher Spencer (Charlotte), of Riverton; David Spencer (Darlene), of Sandy; and Richard Spencer, of Tokyo, Japan; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
