Teresa (McIntyre) Adkins Feb. 22, 1963 - Aug. 12, 2014 DOWAGIAC - Teresa Harris McIntyre Adkins, 51 of Middleport, Ohio, passed away at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Teresa Ann was born February 22nd, 1963 to Harold and Rena Harris in Niles, Michigan. She graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1981. On July 2nd of 1983, Teresa married her first husband, Jerome McIntyre. They were married for 12 years when he passed in December of 1995. Teresa lived in Dowagiac, Michigan until 2005 when she relocated to Middleport, Ohio to be with her second husband, Randy Adkins, whom she married in 2006. While in Ohio, she was an active member of the Soul Harvest Church, where she was involved in youth ministries. Teresa was a devoted wife and mother and she will always be remembered as someone who could be counted on by family and friends alike. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Harris, her first husband, Jerome McIntyre, and by her second husband, Randy Adkins. Teresa is survived by her mother, Rena Harris, her sisters Lori Harris and Dawn (Bob) Howard, her sons Jason (Taylor) McIntyre, Jerome (Kate) McIntyre, Jordan (Maria Keathley) McIntyre, her step-daughter Liz Adkins Shope and her children Jacob and Ethan, her step-son Christopher Adkins, her nephews Andrew Howard and John Scott, and her nieces, Lauren Harris and Macy Howard. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Clark Chapel & Cremation Services at 405 Center Street in Dowagaic on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:30 p.m. Private family burial will take place later at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac.
