Ines Marie (Harbour) Anderson, of Sand Springs, OK, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the age of 98.

Ines was born near Elk City, KS on November 3, 1915 to William Jess and Rosa Belle (Lapsley) Harbour. She grew up as a country girl where she attended grade school. She graduated from Independence, KS High School in 1933. She also graduated from Olson's Commercial College in Independence. She was then employed in the office of Sinclair Refining Company.

She married her childhood-neighbor, grade school friend, and brother-in-law of her sister's, Alfred Anderson, in 1939. They moved to Wichita, KS where he went to work for The Coleman Company, and Ines went to work at Beech Aircraft. They had one child, a daughter, Patricia Ann, in 1946. Ines worked at Beech Aircraft for 29 years and retired from there as a Crew Chief. And in 1978 from IBM Data Processing Machines.

After retirement, they moved to Sand Springs, OK to be near their daughter and her husband and their two grandchildren whom they helped care for while their parents worked, and even took them on some long trips.

Ines was preceded in death, besides her parents, by her husband Alfred Anderson in October 2003, her two brothers, Willis Harbour and Wallace Harbour, her four sisters, Alta Harbour, Cora Anderson, Ruby Atherton, and Jewel Parks, and several nieces and nephews.

During their 54 year membership in the Beechcraft Boating and Camping Club, they did a lot of boating, fishing, skiing, and traveling. Their travels took them to every state. They went to the beaches of Hawaii; along with friends, they drove their motor homes and spent 2 months in Alaska; they traveled to Canada and Mexico; they also went on five fishing trips to Minnesota.

Ines has a keen interest in gardening. Every spring and summer, she enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Ines was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sand Springs.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Wichita, KS at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
