Friday rites for Mrs. Bertha Hansel are set at Garber
ELKADER (Special) — Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Hansel, 80, Garber, will be held Friday, Feb 25, St. Michael's Catholic church at Garber at 10:30 a.m.
She died early Wednesday morning at the Guttenberg Municipal hospital where she had been a patient a week after a fall in which she broke her hip. She failed to survive an operation to pin the hip.
Relatives and friends may call at the Witt Funeral Home at Elkader after 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Elva O'Connor, Dyersville; a step-son, Russell Hansel, Appleton, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Anton Smith, Garber and Mrs. Russell Brown, Colesburg; a brother, Edmond Feidt, Garber and a sister, Mrs. Earl Hindal, Des Moines. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren.
