Helen Amelia Callahan, 89, passed away Monday November 11, 2013 at Bickford of Wabash in Wabash, Indiana.

She was born November 22, 1923 in Staunton to Leverett and Floy Hamilton.

Helen graduated from Jasonville High School in 1941, before marrying Charles Callahan in 1942 and going on to work as a cosmetologist. She was a member if the North Union United Methodist Church and attended Fairview Christian Church.

Helen was a member of Ladies Aid, who enjoyed sewing, crafts, and tole painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Charles Callahan, Brother; Eugene Hamilton, Sisters; Ruth Laing, Dorothea Puckett, Wege Zukunft, sister-in-law: Mary Hamilton and Brother-in-Laws; John Laing and Brawn Puckett.

Survived by her daughters Cheryl (Steve) Harner, Wabash, Indiana and Jeanne West, Melbourne, Florida. Her grandchildren: Jeanna Davis, Melissa (Chad) Ervin, Sean Harner, Kelly (Nichole) Harner, Great-Grandchildren, Wesley Davis, Blake, Grayson, and Addison Harner, Austin and Alec Ervin. Many Nieces, Nephew and Other Extended Family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil.

The family will accept friends from 1:00 P.M. Until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Humane Society or a food pantry of your choice.
