Mrs. LaGail Hall Davidson, age 65, departed this life on Thursday after a long illness under the care of VistaCare Hospice. The Soperton native was a graduate of Treutlen County High School, attended Women's College Of Georgia in Milledgeville and graduated from Memorial Hospital of Chatham County School of Nursing in 1968. She moved to Statesboro in 1989 and was retired as a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Davidson was a member of the Archibald Bulloch Chapter Daughters of American Revolution and a member and past president of Statesboro Pilot Club.

Surviving are her husband, William Murray Davidson IV of Statesboro; two sons, William M. Davidson V of Atlanta and Edward B. Davidson of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah D. and Thomas Griffin of Douglas, a grandchild, Rebakah Griffin of Douglas; three sisters and their spouses, Suzanne Ingram and John Sheppard of Statesboro, Laurianne and Charles Pullen of Soperton and Helen and Trip Foy of Statesboro; a brother-in-law, Bruce Davidson of Atlanta and a sister in law, Margaret Rogers of Ocala, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Saturday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Savannah with the Rev. Joan Killian officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lonnie Lacy.
