Joy N. Didier, 68 of Galena, IL died Wednesday December 28, 2011 at Midwest Medical Center, Galena. Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena and where friends may call after noon. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service. Burial will be at a later date.

She was born September 20, 1943 in Russellville, AR the daughter of Lester and Norma (Bradford) Gwin. She was united in marriage to Marcel Didier in May of 1972 in Indianapolis, IN and he survives.

Joy was a homemaker. She loved to play bridge, travel, garden, crossword puzzles and will be remembered as an excellent cook. She was a certified interior designer and a "List Maker" extraordinaire. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Bob (Andrea) Van Orden of Dallas TX, a daughter, Chris (Jim) Wykowski of Dallas, TX, one grand daughter, Kristen (Travis) Walnofer of Phoenix, AZ, three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Caleb and Peyton, her mother Norma Gwin of Shawnee, OK, a sister, Anita (Dennis) Trout of Shawnee, OK, her best friend, Patricia (Larry) Winkelman of Barrington, IL. She was preceded in death by her father Lester M. Gwin in 1983
