Margaret was the daughter of Patrick Gunn and Elizabeth Waldron. Her maternal Waldron grandparents are not on Findagrave (although probably buried at the Scott-Case farm). She was a direct descendant of Resolved Waldron 1616 of Holland and Tenneke Nagel (abt 1624 Groningen, Holland-abt 1680 Horn's Hook, NY) through her great-grandfather Hieronimous.

She was baptised on April 29, 1827 at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia.

She received her husband's Civil War pension for 57 years. They were parents of the following children:

1-John Devlin (Nov 14 1848-1917)
2-Francis James Devlin (Jan 15 1851-July 5 1933) married Ellen C. Hart (Nov 1851 NY) NC
2-Mary Devlin* (abt 1855-before 1863)
4-James F. Devlin (May 24 1856-?) married Catherine Groetsch (March 1864)

*She died between June 18, 1860 (census) and 1863 when her mother received a survivor's pension for herself and the other children.
