Mr. Gregory was employed as a carman at L&N Railroad for the past eight years. Prior to that, he was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Company. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict.
An avid baseball enthusiast in the community, he had formerly played for the American Legion and Columbian baseball teams, where he later became player-manager. He also coached several boys baseball league teams.
Surviving is a son, Rick Gregory of Dayton; and his parents, Roy B. and Frances I. Stephens Gregory of Lafayette.
