Mrs. Fehrman Death Victim
Mrs. Bertie Gregg Fehrman, wife of Andrew J. Fehrman, former county treasurer and member of the board of trustees of the Valparaiso Water Department, died Tuesday afternoon at the family home, 306 Napoleon street. She had been in ill health for some time.
The decedent was born on October 10, 1869, at Hebron, a daughter of George C. Gregg and Jennie (Morrow) Gregg.
For a number of years she resided in Chicago, coming to Valparaiso in 1903.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, in which she served as matron; Past Matrons' club of the OES; Valparaiso Womans' club, serving as chairman of the Literature department and president of the club, and the First Methodist church.
During her husband's tenure of the county treasurer's office she served as deputy treasurer.
She was married on April 1, 1891, to Andrew J. Fehrman, who survives together with one daughter, Mrs. Helen Johnson, and a grandson, Gregg Fehrman Johnson. She had two sisters, one of whom died in infancy, and the other, Nellie, died in September, 1922.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the family home, 306 Napoleon street, Rev. Buell E. Horn, of the First Methodist church, officiating.
Friends may call at the family home from 2 p.m., Thursday, and up until time of services.
