Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Tuesday in Cameron for Mrs. Pearl Clement, 83, charter member of the Cameron chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Clement died in Dunn Loring, Va., December 25. Dr. O'Kelly, Rockdale, conducted services at Marek-Burns Funeral Home. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery followed graveside services conducted by the Cameron chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Clement was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, honorary member of the Cameron chapter of the Daughters of Confederacy after she moved and organizing regent of the Sarah McCalla chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also one of the first graduates of Cameron High School. Survivors include: a son, George K. Clement, Arlington, Va.; a brother, Robert Green, Brownsville; a grandson, George K. Clement, Jr., Glendora, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were, Richard Parker, David Parker, Glenn Tooke, Drayton McLane, John Davis and John Muse. Cameron Herald, January 2, 1958
