Funeral Mass for Leopoldo A. Gonzales, 92, of Lubbock will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Cornelio Ramirez officiating. Burial will be at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mr. Gonzales died peacefully at his residence, on Sunday night, Dec. 26, 2004.

He was born Nov. 15, 1912 in Cameron to the late Rocky and Antonia Gonzales. He married Brigida Herrera in 1935 in Cameron, and she preceded him in death May 13,1957. Mr. Gonzales was a metal worker. He moved to Lubbock in 2002 from Bakersfield, Calif. He was a Catholic and well loved by his family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Joe and Mike, both of Lubbock; five daughters, Dora Mendez and Natividad Mendoza, both of Bakersfield, Bernice Mendez, Guadalupe Hernandez, and Gracie Gonzales, all of Lubbock; 32 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbeares will be Joe Gonzales , Jr., Sammy Mendez, Henry Mendez, Nick Mendez, Eric Adams, and Gilbert Moreno, Jr.
