Ruby was born to the late Zeb and Georgia Foster.
In 1970, she became the office manager for the St. Helena Cemetery Association. In 1979, she was appointed as the first female board member and held that position until her retirement in January of 2009.
Ruby is survived by two children; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Ruby was predeceased by her granddaughter, Dana Lee Soekland and by her beloved husband, Jim, after 56 years of marriage.
