Mrs. Ferdinand Baguss nee Anna Magdalena Feddersen was born on May 31, 1863 at Langenhorn Schleswig, Holstein, Germany.

She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in 1878 in the Evangelical Lutheran Faith and she steadfastly held to that faith until death.

On March 22, 1891 she was married to Ferdinand Baguss in Ockholm Schleswig, Holstein. They became the parents of 5 children.

Mr. and Mrs. Baguss came to America in April 1912 and settled in Jones County, near Wyoming. Here her husband departed this life on November 30, 1919.

Since 1922 Mrs. Baguss made her home with her daughter Meta, the late Mrs. L. J. Christophersen. It was here that she suffered a stroke a week ago and departed this life on December 6th, 1950, within an hour after the death of her daughter. She attained the age of 87 years, 6 months and 5 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her four sons: John of Tipton, Anton of Wyoming, Ferdinand of Maquoketa and Herman of Cedar Rapids, also 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Clarence on Saturday, December 9th, 1950. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet accompanied by Eleanor Conrad. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Lavern Pruess and Mrs. Norma Cooper. Pallbearers were Alfred Christophersen, John Christophersen, Herman Baguss, Elmer Clark, William Frey and Henry Thies. Interment was made in the Wyoming cemetery.
