-"Mrs. Ruth F. Muir, 86, of West Decatur R.D. died Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 3:21 p.m. at Mountain Laurel Nursing Center,Clearfield.
Born Aug. 17, 1899, in Morrisdale R.D., she was a daughter of Jonathan and Hallie (Williams) Emigh. Mrs. Muir is survived by two sons, Harold of Phillpsburg and John of Belair, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Pyretta) Dumbleton of Osceola Mills and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Hughes of State College; 18 grandchildren,36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The last of her generation,she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Muir, on Sept. 9, 1977; one child,Richard; one granddaughter;three sisters;and two brothers.
She was a member of Philipsburg Church of the Nazarene. Services will be held in the chapel of the Strange and Weaver Home for Funerals, Morrisdale, on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas Cahill officiating. Interment will be in Summit Hill Cemetery, Morrisdale R.D. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until the time of the service."
